Pictures If you would like a picture
fitted in to your stick then please select the kind
of stick you want and type in the name of the
picture you require. If you choose to supply your
own then please tick the box and I'll contact you
about it. We can copy and resize your
image using digital technology so any picture you
supply will not be used itself and can be returned
to you if necessary. Sticks
require ordering in advance. 3-6 month waiting
period. You may send pictures
through the post to the usual address at the bottom
of the CONTACTS
page or you can send pictures from your computer if
you email
me and ask for an
address that will accept attachments or give me a
link to a website (no copyrighted
pictures). Staghorn (Antler) Walking
sticks with dog pictures. Exact shapes of
antler handles vary! Please note: It
is often not possible to fit a picture to a stick
already in stock so we will normally make the stick
and fit the picture during the process of building
the stick. Images must be as clear
as possible if you want us to use your own. Some
cropping of the picture is normal so that it will
fit the space available on the stick. Unsuitable
backgrounds may be edited out WHERE
POSSIBLE. How
do we use your photo? Here's
a typical photo of three dogs - actually my own!
The subject for the picture stick is the one in the
middle. First we crop
the picture on the computer to leave just
the subject. If you send a picture in the post then
your own picture is not cut or used in the
stick at all - so you can have it back! Then we resize
it to fit in the stick and print it on special
paper. The picture is
set into a hole drilled in the stick handle and a
clear plastic cap is fitted. It is then filed and
sanded to shape and polished to a clear, glass-like
finish: |
